Are they asking you to click on a link or call a phone number? Never do that. If you seriously think this might be for real, look up the actual number for the Social Security Administration and call them to check it. That goes for any suspect e-mail - call the real phone number of whoever it is supposed to be.

The other "important" notice is the inability of the USPS to deliver a package to your house. They never contact you with that kind of nonsense. If the package is undeliverable, it goes to package Nirvana. They don't call or text you.

You’re lucky you only have to put up with the US Department of Administration. My Amazon account is suspended at least once a day. 🥶

I have an SSA on-line account that I use frequently. They tell me if there is an issue. If I receive something in the USPS mail from SSA, I check in my account for any issues. If nothing, then great. This sounds like a scam. SSA NEVER emails, only USPS.

Just to be clear, a Social Security number CANNOT be suspended. There is no such thing. (Monthly benefits can be suspended for various reasons). If you have any questions call you local office or the national 800#.
