I remember when windshield wipers came in different sizes, and if you bought the right size, you were all set. Now, it seems that things are different. The next time you buy wipers, make sure they will actually attach to your car. Yes, I know that wipers come with lots of little pieces to let them attach to most cars - but not all cars.
I wanted to replace the rear wiper on my son's car, so I went to the garage and a got a wiper of the correct size. Nope! Honda has a different type of attachment for the rear wiper, at least. I found another one in the garage that had the required shape, and it went right on. Looking on Amazon, I found wipers that were the correct size, but Amazon said they would not fit the Fit. I bought two sets of wipers designed specifically for the Honda Fit. Now, I'm all set.

Every time you mention your Fit (or is it your son's?) it reminds me of the 2009 that I bought new. I wanted to buy a white Civic, but the Honda dealership couldn't get one, so I happened to look at a goofy looking new red Fit on the showroom floor. I bought it and I loved it. It was a quick little car, with a six speed and it had a ton of room. One of the most fun cars I've owned. I sold it in 2013 when I bought a new RAV 4 because I wanted all wheel drive. I missed the Honda.
To be more exact some wipers specify right or left to fit the different angle of the windshield. To make it more of a PIA the right or left blade is usually out of stock.

Speaking of a white vehicle, White is the standard color for a Jeep. If you want a different color, it will cost you $500.

Thanks Jerry, I was wondering about that last night.

When you see a white Jeep, you can call the guy a cheapskate.

I have 2018 Mazda 6 and love it, but wipers have a unique mount only available from the dealership at $58.00 ea CDN plus 13% tax. Due to our wonderful winters it's a new pair of wipers every year. They want $60 ea for Mazda spark plugs which are actually NGK still $29 ea CDN. and because its a Turbo need to be replaced every 40,000 miles.
$500 for a color on a Jeep? See this weeks Auotextremist.com about Jeep pricing. Seems they're following Porsche's marketing plan.

I tried to go to Auotextremist.com but it said that the site can't be reached.

http://www.autoextremist.com/Take the Jeep Wrangler, for instance. I went to the Jeep website and priced out what was, for me, a Jeep I might be able to live with. (No, not the 392, which is probably the only Jeep I’d even consider, but with a base price of $90,590 – gulp – that’s a hard no.) So, I priced out a 2024 Wrangler 4-door Rubicon 4xe, which starts at $63,185. Yes, you read that correctly. After building one out, my total came to $71,060 plus the usual extra whatevers. Then, I priced out a 2024 Wrangler 4-Door Rubicon X, and it came out to $72,350.I bought a new Jeep in 1969, with a Fisher snowplow attached, for about $3,200. Plowing snow earned back the purchase price.

you're better off going to the dealer as after-market doesn't work
Speaking of wipers.i remember back about 20 years ago that you would buy a set of wiper blades and they lasted about 4 years.one particular brand ( thriple edge ) was amazing.they were so good that someone must have bought them off just to put them out of business. Those wipers would wipe your windshield squeaky clean.
And now speaking of colors.remember back when AT&T used to have all home phones in black.Att ( South western bell) decided to bring out phones in different colors but there was a $5.00 charge but I can't recall if that was monthly or a one time charge per phone.some smart SOB, and that doesn't mean south of the border, took it to the high courts claiming that black was also a color too so why do customers have to pay to get a blue, yellow , green, pink, or whatever color that chose.perhaps if so smart SOB takes this to the high courts and wins then the auto maker won't charge those $500 for any other color except white.

Try GMC, Chevrolet, Mercedes-Benz websites. They, like Jeep, Dodge and most other car manufacturers offer one or two no extra charge colours and any other colours are extra charge.
Looked at the GMC Canadian website this morning and a Yukon SUV listed black and white as "No extra Charge" colours while all the other colours were at least $495.00 extra! Took a look at Mercedes-Benz site listing a 2023 AMG EQE 4Matric+ Sedan listed ten available exterior colours, six were no charge extra, four of the colours were extra cost. Three cost an additional $2,275.00 and one cost an additional $4,225.00. Did not bother to check the USA websites for comparable pricing detail, but I can say with confidence most if not all auto manufactures have an upcharge for what they consider to be optional paint colours.
