People don't like the self checkout, but with reliable cashiers being hard to find, they are becoming more common. Both the local Lowe's and Home Depot have one regular register and several DIYs. Be sure the item you pick up has a good barcode on it!

Part of vampire lore is the idea that you must give the vampire permission to enter your house. That's something I would never do. 😳

In the beginning I hate self checkout but now I find they are better than some human cashiers.

I still hate self check-out. Self check out just means that more people are out of work, also at self check out you don't have to be polite to the cashier.

I find that being polite to the cashier takes no effort on my part.
Also it mitigates the sticker shock somewhat.

But the machine doesn't get mad at me when I tell them that they undercharged me. Yes the cashier got mad when I tell her that she undercharged me.

I completely agree, and I will always use a checker, unless the line is long and I have many things. And Target is the worst. I have been there, where there are 15 lanes unattended with only self check open.

My issue is that the products aren't self checkout ready.
Why not put the codes on the bottom? NO!
I have to find it, place it, try to scan it crooked, try it again. *sigh*
I did it again. I'm at Ralphs. Go to get in line. There are 12 people in front of me.
No- this is the line to get in line- there is room in the aisle for only 5 carts Got a checker for that!
The self check station has 6 registers- 2 are non functional. Another dozen in the wait line to get in line.
5 happy people behind the main counter. Yeah, that's a nope.
My full cart just joined with the other 7 in the go-back section, and i went to Aldi.
C-ya!
