U. S. Senators ages
As long as they have their faculties.
Most real wisdom comes with age.
Age shouldn't matter but it would be great if they were term limited.

Yes I agree, they get too full of them selves and think nobody else could do the job as well as they do.
Well, I'm afraid the term limit idea was first adopted ....back in the 17 hundreds: Elections.
Just vote!
No one should be permitted to make a career of being a member of the Congress or the Senate.

Then .... Vote Them .... Out.
Really quite a simple idea, right??

As a general rule, I'll agree. I'd add that often with age, willingness to try new concepts gets overlooked. The old idea of if it aint broke don't fix it, doesn't always apply. There must be room for and willingness to move forward.

Term limit means you can't run for the same office after a set number of terms. For example, POTUS has a limit of 2 terms. It does not rely on getting voted out.

IMHO Legislators too often become a self perpetuating quasi-ruling class. Whatever happened to the ideal of a citizen legislature? If I were to re write the consitution today., it would only allow two terms of public office for any one person A ridiculous example might be 1 term as dog catcher and another a
SENATOR of the USA .= two terms. NO one could register as a candidate for office until three months before election timer The total amount spent on a campaign by all entities combined could not exceed four times the annual salary of the position being sought, on penalty of expulsion from office and ineligibility for another ( second?) term in any public office. $ SPENT ON BEHALF OF A CANDIDATE WOULD INCLUDE $ spent AGAINST A COMPETING CANDIDATE. I've often wondered, based in the official salaries, how a legislator can enter office merely well off and leave office very very wealthy. Can you spell PROFESSIONAL LOBBYISTS, bribery and grafT MADE LEGAL BY THOSE WHO PROFIT FROM IT?
Politicians are like diapers. They need to be changed often, and for the same reasons.
Another reason to have term limits.
