I saw Herb Ellis in the late 80's in Brisbane with an Aussie pick up band! Pretty sensational!

Jazz because of the accompaniment and phrasing. All lyrics set to music for me are a form of poetry that tells a story or sets a mood. Rap is a kind of poetry too but in most cases, at least for me, the accompaniment and story leave much to be desired.
