No, I did not read the explanation, Linda. Where can it be found? If someone can 'unsubscribe' from a site, I do believe that we are subscribers. Not all site subscribers pay a fee. If you would prefer to be called a contributor, a guest, a photographer, a member or some other name, that is fine. Jim

Regarding unsubscribing from the website Uglyhedgehog.com, we can't
Home page says there are 109558 subscribed. You can still do user searches for folks who've died, folks who have been banned, and many who haven't commented for 10 years (or at all). User profiles can be accessed to see their topics and their comments, just like people who are on everyday.

These sorts of sites have an interest in keeping their numbers up so they can maximize their advertising income, so unsubscribing is not a thing. That's the price you pay for a free site. The best thing you can do is delete the URL from your bookmarks and unsubscribe from the digest email (I don't use it so I don't know if you can do that, but if not you can just put it into your spam filter). Then just forget it's there.
