Not exactly. They phoned me to confirm some peculiar aspects of my order. I missed their call and so I called them right back using the number displayed as a missed call. Its a Brooklyn number: 929 499 9557.
You mentioned the site got hung up when you attempted to pay. I experienced a verrrry long delay, but I just waited it out. I suppose that was related to whatever resulted in the phone call many hours later.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who hasn't jumped on the mirrorless freight train!!! Great camera, and I've bought a couple Tokina lenses from them too!
I had a similar experience with their web site about a year ago. I could not complete the purchase one night using my default Chrome browser. But when I tried using Firefox it sailed through.
BTW their phone is 646-513-4309. The customer service e-mail is contactus@mpb.com This info is buried with the warranty claim information.
https://www.mpb.com/en-us/help/warrantyThey also have on-line chat support during business hours, which I would assume is their preferred contact method.

My sincere thanks to all who responed to my request for help, including those who misconstrued my message. I have to pass on phone contacts as at 88.5 years my audio facilitity is in sad disarray and I cannot use a phone. I have a form of hearing disability that has nothing to do with the loss of hearing sounds, as I can hear sounds clealy, it is that I can no longer make out what is being said or the vocals in music. Occasionally I will encounter someone whose speech pattern, usually slow and low, I can both hear and comprehend in a conversation. Just goes to show you what years of shooting Garands in the Marine Corps before hearing protection on a range was heard of will do for you.

What JD750 said - I recently had a problem paying for an order using Firefox but it went thru smoothly a few minutes later using Bing.
MPB is my preferred site for buying and selling used equipment. In my case, i always found their prices and offers a bit better than KEH. Though I’ve found KEH to have more inventory.

Not true. And not sure why you are saying as you have no basis for that comment. I have sold and bought from MPB multiple times. They are excellent and very fair with pricing both selling and buying.

I just tried to enter an order for a Nikon lens at MPB , the first in a couple of months. I found that they have changed their website radically. When I tried to enter the final payment, there was no response fom the designated payment box. Then when I triied to send them an e-mail asking for help, I found that they have made no provision for a customer initiating an e-mail to them for assistance. Has anyone been able to contact them via e-mail?

Bought only one lens from them. Never had any problem with contacting them.
I realize that the original question was about a problem, placing an order.
But I just want to put in a good word for MPB.
Excellent company, based on my purchase history.
I have never sold them anywhere, but everything I have purchased, was exactly as expected and was delivered with no issues.
I like MPB, KEH, Roberts used photo pro, adorama and B&H.
I have dealt with all of these companies, many, many times without any problems.
And, based on experience, they also stand behind their products, most include a warranty, for a few months. .
I have also had very good luck with eBay, but that is more of a crap shoot, than the above named sellers.
I am sure that the op will work out his purchase, without much effort, and I hope that he will enjoy his new (to him) kit.
I did a camera swap with then a few years ago. While I attempted to find out all that was needed to asure gettig my "quote" and the right camera in return everything went to pieces on the deal to shorten the story let's just say I did not receive the $ credit for my trade in. I had to pay more on my end. Total, spent 3 weeks arguing only to loose. Have not done business with them since.

MPB is first rate! Unlike KEH they honor their quotes.

This is a great place. Have purchased from them many times. They sell and buy and stand behind their products. I’ve always been impressed and I’m very fussy.

They are actually pretty great. They tend to quote and pay higher for gear that I’ve sold (significantly more than the other sites like B&H and Adorama). And their gear seems to at least be as good as advertised. I just bought a Zeiss Loxia lens from them which would have been rated excellent, but when I received it, there wasn’t even a spec of dust.
