Thanks for looking nimbushopper. Australia is cited as the driest inhabited continent in the world with 70% of the mainland classified as Arid or Semi Arid Zone. Only the coastal regions and the tropical region in the north of Australia are likely to receive more than 500 mm of rain per annum. Some inland areas often go for 2 or 3 or more years with out receiving a measurable quantity of rain.

Thank you for the feedback Inl. Since much of inland Australia receives less than 250mm of rain per annum, and sometimes non at all, the sight of water is always exciting.
