Thank you! I will let my DinL know. Georgia, my pup, is a diva and knows it. lol
Good stuff dnote.
Assuming you'll be staying in western CO, I'll bet you'll find that CNM --not to mention places immediately west and immediately south (and immediately east and immediately north)-- can be really interesting at times (winter [and spring, and summer, and fall] especially!!!), too.
Once you get into the swing of things (if you haven't already), remember to take your oboe or your Strat (be that by Fender or by Avarius) or the compositional or the mad conductor skilz you've earned in Uni out there with you into WesternSlopeLand. Because there isn't any difference between good music and good photography.
Beautiful set! I lived in CO for a year, and spent a summer at a geology field camp in 1967, but never heard of this location, Yor dog would be a beauty in any location; however🤓.
Nice set. Beautiful views.

I have been living close to the CNM for 13 years now and love it. We travel a lot all over western CO and Utah as often as we can. I can't say as I play the oboe, but have been playing the flute since I was 10 and just graduated with a BA in music from CMU. I have a native flute that I have taken on occasion into the wilds, but not my regular flute...:)

Oh, she knows it. I love Grand Junction and have been here for 13 years now. It is beautiful and I often pick up little rocks on most hikes.

Ahhhh yes Grand Junction… I only got to the Westen slope once and only in passing on the way to a port call in California. My wife had bought a Native American flute at a gift shop and while fiddling around with it my inner saxophonist managed to work out “Ornithology” (minus one note) on the flute surely hope I didn’t offend any natives or ancient ones….best of everything Cany is right! Good is always good revel in it!

Love number six.
Thanks, Longshadow. I think it looks a bit like a small toy road. Oh and I LOVE John Wayne and that quote!

We love it here and I am sure the Native spirits forgave any hiccups on on the composition. Native flutes don't lend themselves to modern tunings either.
All beautiful shots capturing the beauty of that part of the country.
