Thank you

Another well-thought and expressed opinion from gtliford.

I was saddened to see Retired CPO be so dismissive of post processing. Nothing is - or has ever been - straight out of camera. PP used to "fix" is a tiny fraction of processing. Controlling the output, personal satisfaction and creative expression are what it's all about.

Well, Linda, I'm sorry I didn't express myself more clearly. I'm not dismissive of post processing. I'm good with anything anyone wants to do with their images. But I CHOOSE not to participate in anything more than the very minimal post processing that Picasa is capable of. I have said that over and over again. And, as I just said in my last post, "SOMETIMES" post processing is attempting to put lipstick on a pig! It almost NEVER works out well!
I hope this is a clearer expression of my thoughts on the subject.

Nice.
I have been (snapping shutters) and movie film since I was 15 years old.
There’s just something about (catching life) in a framed moment.
I think I caught the photo illness from my Dad.
I have all my early slides, plus my Dad’s!
What does one do with over 4,000 35mm slides? There is a haunting of old slides and photographs!
Guess I’ll just keep going and let my kids work it out! Ya, can’t take ‘em with us!
Thanks for your works of art!

Thanks and I guess time to digitize them all for the entire family to share. Every once in a while, I get a photo sent me from a relative of someone from my family passed. It’s no longer here. I make sure they’re scanned and sent out to whoever I think would love to see them then I put the original copy away somewhere safe.

I like the image not only for the exposure and how it was rendered, but also for the "stair step" positioning of the flying geese. Thank you for your post.
