I told a friend that I was hesitating to post pictures sent by another friend because I didn't want to imply that his pictures weren't very good. I put them into an album and posted them on Google Photos without mentioning processing.
My friend replied, "Would they even notice they were processed?" 🤣
Actually, I'm sure they won't notice any processing, but they do look better than the originals. They were JPEGs with lots of backlighting, so it was tough making them look perfect.

Chit-Chat section?….🙄
This post this post as being about photos and it is in the Main Photography Discussion section of UHH. It's not like the joke of the day which would be in Chit-Chat.

I have had posts moved more times than I can remember. This is about processing and peoples' reaction to it, so I put it in Main. It's hard for me to second-guess where a tropic should go.
As it turns out, the person who sent me the pictures sent me an email saying he liked how I lightened them.

Uh-oh. The content police again.
To get best results from a photo post process is all part of photography
I was defending the posting of the article as being appropriate where it was. I am not the "content police" in any way, shape, or form. I was saying that it was in the proper section and it was not "Chit-Chat" as was insinuated.

Don't worry about it. My posts are moved on a regular basis. Just today, my post about the Nishimura comet was moved to Chat. I thought Main would have been okay because people will want to take pictures of it. Chatting and snapping are very closely related.
"No good deed goes unpunished". Jerry, you were right on the money in publishing your friends' photos as a favor to him. Illegitum non carborundum as the old saying goes.

Do you see how many posts Jerry has made? Nobody comes close. And you're going to tell him where he can post? LOL He has "the run of the house"

I seem to mis-post about once a week. I'm still not perfect - maybe next year.

The only post moving I've been upset by is when neighbours are trying to steal land

That sounds like a lot of work, but land is less expensive to steal than to buy.
When you put lipstick on a pig you end up with a pig with lipstick. I say this lovingly for I had two adorable pigs as house pets which were Spammy and Bunny.
