Paint and Sip

Have any of you done "Paint and Sip" (Sip and Paint)? I've done several, and it's fun. You go to the location, and the instructor sets you up with everything you need. Then, he/she takes you step by step through the process of making a painting. A search will give you a list of offerings in your area. The cost varies between $35 - $65.

From what I've seen, it's more painting than sipping. Some places give you a glass of wine, and some people bring their own. These places can't send people home drunk.

Inneresting! DW does something like that at at a local thrift shop. She's the teacher, and I get to be her assistant. It's indoors, and the "sip" would refer to coffee🍵 😍. Being a charity, it's free to the attendees.

I did that my granddaughter’s ninth birthday party…wine but it was fun. The kids’ paintings were a lot better than mine😂

I'd prefer to go with someone, although I've always gone alone in the past. I asked a few friends, but they declined. They all said they would be embarrassed for people to see their paintings. That's really not a problem.

Teaching people to paint is one of the things I really LOVE to do. It's easy for me and I make it easy for them. It's so much fun when they suddenly realize they can do it. I firmly believe ANYONE can do it. So many just don't know it...YET!
I've never had anyone to fail to do a good job.

We have a local painting group that meets about a mile from my house. I go as often as I can.
