I lost my partner of the past 45 years last July 27th. On one of our first "dates", I asked her to join me on a photoshoot of a Georgetown Univ. football game. (not exactly the Super Bowl, but a way for a fun time together.) She agreed. Now, this was around 1977. I loaded the Domke with a couple of camera bodies and lenses. Janet was not a photographer. I handed her one and snapped just as she was exclaiming, "I don't know what I'm doing!".
That smile had me from day one. I'm so glad I found this one! Now to find that photo she took of the referees sitting on a bench, taking a break.

Yeah, the first smile of your life partner can stay with you forever. It was my wife’s grin that did it for me.

My wife and I will be celebrating 47 years tomorrow 9/11 and for me I had a list of stuff I wanted my future wire to be able to do.when we met she wanted nothing to do with me since she had just broken up with her exboyfriend. The first time I called her she said she had to hang up cause she was cooking. The second time I called her she had to hang up cause she was cleaning the house and then she was ironing, talking care of her little brothers, washing clothes, and the list kept coming and I kept checking them off my list.i figured I had to bring this girl home to meet moma.we dated for a year and 3 months before we got married. My condolences to you.i don't know what I would do if I lost my wife after almost half a century.

My life with my first wife was cut short by cancer when she was 40.
I still cherish the memories, and my wife totally understands.

This week will be our 55th Wedding Anniversary, but I’ve known my bride for 59 yrs.
