A friend of mine told me of an Eagle's nest in a county park about 45 minutes from where I live. That was enough for me to get there over a few weeks early this year. Although each trip yeilded a few good shots, there was one time the weather and light was incredible. Personally, I don't like perfect weather and light, because my two best excuses for missed shots are gone. Too much pressure. In spite of the pressure, I managed these.
The area is really good for watching the nest. Wide open around the nest with good visibility of approach. In the early morning, the sun is never a negative factor as it is behind you. There is about fifty feet of water between where I was standing and the base of the tree with the nest - so there was other photographic oppertunities. Great place to spend an hour or three.
