Nope - he ain't from 'round here, or anywhere in the USA.
(I hear some folks from San Angelo have been abducted by Aliens)
They're rhymes with hair - and is one sylable - at least in North America.

Thanks for making my point.

You did get a couple of words right. Aliens, yes, but you forgot the adjective - illegal. And they don't abduct, they invade. As for the others around here, they are, like the rest of the duh generation, too busy speaking sign language to engage in anything requiring them to know the difference in the three. And I thank you for deciding that I am different. I decided that a long time ago. There is no curse worse than being "normal."

I have a well developed sense of humor. I have only to watch homo sapi-isn't to be amused. And I actually laugh aloud occasionally when reading. Just quite seldom at anything the author thought would be funny.

This was a fun post. I even looked up "thare" in case it was a word that could somehow be plugged in as well. I find it interesting that even in a post as simple and innocuous as this one, there are those who find a way to use it to expound on their personal prejudices.

I'll take the Merriam-Webster answer to they're, their, there as the final judge in the matter.

As said by Simon Cowl: 'I Think I Like You'.
No one has ever accused me of being 'normal' either.
And Most of our Aliens are in Marfa. Other than those illegal ones in Brownsville and Eagle Pass.
