Did I ever mention that mantids have this little brush on their front legs just for cleaning off their compound eyes? I forget if I ever did (you know, old age and all). It's on the inside of the front legs, near the joint between the coxa and tibia. In comparison to your arm, it's on inside of your forearm near the bend of your wrist. It's very nerdy, but I know you'd like it.
