I live in Colorado but have never taken the hike to Lake Haiyaha in Rocky Mountain NP. As of last year it has a beautiful milky blue glacial silt color and here is what happened...

"The water of Lake Haiyaha is now a unique milky shade of turquoise not commonly seen in lakes of Rocky Mountain National Park but it is not from blue algae. Rather, a rockslide on June 28, 2022, exposed glacier sediment in Chaos Canyon above Lake Haiyaha. Summer rains caused this sediment, sometimes referred to as glacial flour, to flow into the lake."

It is worth the hike if you are in the area.

Beautiful landscape. The water looks inventing for a dip. But you would turn bluer than the water I’m sure!

Pardon my inattentiveness to the spell checker on my iPad. It doesn’t understand context at all.

Yes it is, the opposite side of what you see at Bear Lake.
