I am a newbie who is looking to get back into photography after being out of it for nearly 40 years. I “accidentally “ fell into it back in 1983, when I took advantage of an offer on a credit card bill. The offer was for a Nikon slr bundle. I purchased it in a whim, and due to some mix up in their billing, I never did pay for it, but instead, got 3 more kits which I sent back like a good little girl.
Anyway, I dragged my Nikon out the a few weeks ago and those old desires came back again. However I found out it was way way outdated and replaced by something called a DSLR. So. To make a long story short, I am presently saving up for a Canon EOS Rebel T7 bundle on Amazon. It’s not fancy, but since I am now in my mid 60s I don’t WANT anything too fancy and advanced. I absolutely CAN’T wait to get started again in my nature photos.

Welcome to UHH 3kids3cats, glad you joined us. You might also look at refurbished or used equipment. Chance to save a few $$$. Only use reputable companies like KEH, B&H, Adorama, Roberts, Nikon and Canon websites. There are a couple others.

I contemplated getting a refurbished one from Amazon. I’m not sure if the quality though. They SAY they have been inspected and are perfectly fine, but you never know.
