I made the trek from San Diego to Idaho to photograph the eclipse. Well worth the drive.

In my backyard with my sun viewing glasses on looking pretty close to straight up. Got a few shots at totality.

I was just north of Nashville, TN on the centerline of eclipse. Plan to be just south of Indianapolis for the eclipse next April.

40 miles southwest of Omaha. The clouds came through and then parted at just the right time. Next year will be in Arkansas.

Bend Oregon area during totality…took a few shots but really wasn't all that interested in it photographically as every photo of an eclipse looks pretty much like every other photo of it…so I partook of the experience rather than of the photographic opportunity. Pretty cool.

Not sure about next April. I would think the further South one goes the better chance for clear skies. That makes for a longer trip. The closest to me is Ohio area.
