Here is a link to cameras that do not require wifi they say. Probably expensive though.https://www.truelook.com/cameras?utm_term=construction%20site%20cameras%20no%20wifi&utm_campaign=Camera-Features&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=533769143742&hsa_acc=5919701406&hsa_cam=11207763504&hsa_grp=128727748070&hsa_ad=533769143742&hsa_src=g&hsa_tgt=kwd-1232909357026&hsa_kw=construction%20site%20cameras%20no%20wifi&hsa_mt=b&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&gclid=CjwKCAjwloynBhBbEiwAGY25dCyQwTXuoQGLZvundr1uEcZ2jpAPM3E-Jr6eEyVvhGwN3yjv8ZT0mxoCQz0QAvD_BwE

Thanks! Yes, they are pricey, but if they work. . . .

Effective Response is actually MORE important than the exact technology you employ.
Many years ago, I had a request to put an alarm system on a stand of trees 🌳 in Fruitland Maryland.
Alarm Technology was available
[@ a price] BUT monitoring and Response was uncertain.
Remember, if Solar Powered, your panels WILL be exposed.
Depending upon the Jurisdiction, you may be REQUIRED to employ an alarm monitoring company with response capabilities to represent the owner.

I think one or more have suggested taking a looking at Eufy security cameras. I have three of them and they work great. No electricity required at the camera site. They run on batteries that need to be charged about every 10 months. They communicate with a home base unit via Wifi. Video is recorded on the home base which is accessible via the internet. So you would need electricity somewhere to run the home base and a Wifi system. May not be what you are looking for, but trying to provide some kind of remote security without electricity is probably not feasible. Just wanted to offer another idea.

I don't expect to get much from the sheriff's office unless I can give them images. They are way too far away. I can probably put a solar panel on the roof.

I have an old farmhouse that sits unattended. The vandals are destroying it. The sheriff's office suggested I put in a security camera, but I have no electricity there. So I assume it will require a solar panel. What sort of inexpensive security camera could I put up (brand name, model, etc.) that I could use images from to prosecute the vandals? And where on earth could I put it that the vandals wouldn't simply steal the camera! Also, since there's no power there, how do I keep it running? And since I live thousands of miles away, how do I monitor it?

I just bought a trail camera with a small solar panel. It was less than $100. Brand is Stealth Cam which is a good camera.

Some of the better trail cams can connect to the ‘net-5G.

There are cameras that use batteries, like my ring doorbell, it uses a rechargeable battery.

This also will connect to either AT&T or Verizon to view photo's on your smart phone or computer.

I have used Bushnell's game or trail cams with great results for observing game. Some are camouflage colored. Lockable housings are readily available. Strap it to a nearby tree where it has a 180 view of your house. They are battery powered.with Infra red for night. Some have wifi for remote viewing live. They take an SD car that save photos. Google game cameras.
