A Pleasant Surprise

My Grand Niece Stella took up photography in 2021 and has come quite a ways in her ability. These are two captures from today that she took and processed on my equipment. Although she didn’t have as steady a hand as I do, (the camera and lens are over 7 pounds and she’s not as sturdy as I am) I think her photographers eye is doing just fine. Especially since this is the first time she’s had this camera and lens in her hands. I can’t wait to see what she does in her lifetime. She starts college this year and she wanted to be able to have classes in film. She does.

Yes, she’s doing well. I try not to give her my opinion, just information. Letting her develop her own opinions and ideas about what she wants to do and how she wants to see it.

I agree with Frank. Perhaps it is time to introduce Stella to a tripod. I love her photos though.

Oh, she has one of my old Manfroto tripods. We were just having a barbecue at my home and I gave her the challenge of getting a handheld shot. I was pleased to see her smile when she saw the results.
