I’m going to have three days near the lake in northern Ohio in a couple of weeks. Any suggestions for photos in that area?

If "by the lake" you mean Lake Erie, the entire coast line from Cleveland to the PA border offers very nice shore line scenes. And sunset into Lake Erie can be spectacular.

There’s a National Park just South of Cleveland - National Parks always present photographic opportunities.

I would also highly recommend The Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, just east of Cleveland. Lots of flowers, trees, ponds, birds, and other wildlife.

It’s probably too early for the beginning of South-bound migration, but “Magee Marsh” also presents interesting views.

I don't know if you re into this stuff, but Cedar Point is supposed to be a great amusement park. Haven't been there myself (I live on the west coast), but many people I know loved it.

It’s mostly known for rollercoasters - which is why I’ve never been there either {I’m a lot closer}.

Come and see Presque Isle State Park in Erie, PA. It is just 20mi from the OH border.

If you're a birder, McGee Marsh is one of the country's best birding areas.

Cuyahoga national Park is well worth a look. The waterfalls are beautiful.

That is the National Park I was describing as being “just South of Cleveland”.

Investigate Pymatuning Lake on the OH/PA border, 25 miles south of the Lake. Geese and carp are what I remember from about 55 years ago.
There are a dozen water falls in the Cleveland area, such as at Chagrin Falls.
