If they are lying in their terms of service they would open themselves up massive lawsuits in my opinion.

I strip the EXIF data before posting.

A great movie.
I also love A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthurs Court - Bing was marvellous.

No Kids were exploited in either movie (I hadda add that for relevance to the post
)
Naked kids in a tub== federal prison and your children taken away from you….very bad juju for sure. Not very smart…
When the internet was first opened up to the public I worked in IT and was invited to an IBM presentation where they explained all about this new “thing call the internet”. Way back then one of the presenters said we are all going to be tempted to put cute pictures of our kids up and vacation plans and stuff like that. His advice was an emphatic DONT DO IT. And this was over 40 years ago…..

No but the father (King Arthur, Wart) was tormented by his son! Loved that movie.

Who is Russina Spetsnaz?
Just a word from my past misadventures. Photography model releases are akin to baptizing a cat.
[quote=DirtFarmer]Is it possible that his parents posted to Facebook? Or someone else that you shared it with? Is your name in the metadata?
Our town had a spring festival and had some bouncy houses for the kids. I got a lot of shots of the kids having fun. I wasn't putting location data on images in those days and I don't know the kids' names and the kids are probably in their '20s by now so should I still not post them? (The capture date is in the file name but not necessarily on the file name on the sharing site).
The parents are very private and I would have to get their permission to share with anyone but close Family. They do not post pictures on Facebook. They were not posted at all. Facebook found them on my computer and suggested that we post them on Facebook. My point is, that Facebook had access to .my computer, possibly through Dropbox, but that's the mystery. They had access to my computer, but they said the message to me was private, and they would not post without my permission. I suppose I could close my Facebook account! Thanks for your suggestions.

Don't do it. Flat out. EXIF data can be stripped. Irate parents, not so much.
If a child is identifiable, I don't post it.

She is the close cousin of Natasha Fatale - a Russian secret agent linked to Rocky and Bullwinkle

I tried it once - reminded me of a scene from The Exorcist

Thanks for clarifying that for me.
I do my best not to photograph children. If they make a sudden turn and their face ends in the shot, that shot is trashed. A release can still be your worst enemy. It is not worth the aggravation.
As for social media, I’m very anti-social!! LOL!
If children are fully clothed, and in a public place where privacy is not expected, i.e. outdoors, sporting event; there is nothing the law can do, because people are permitted to take photos of others in public. But a photos taken in a private residence, even if it's your own, or a hotel room, locker room, any place that requires membership dues, or any other place where common sense would dictate is not public. For photos of people not in public, you need a signed release from person(s) depicted to use the photos for any type of display. That's why posting revenge porn is illegal in the case of adults.
My rule is don't connect any device to the Internet that has photos on it you don't want to share with the whole world.

There are EXIF editors out there. Add a name, copyright notice, etc.
Mine say I'm in Lake Erie.
