Right. Brother Dan didn't spend much time on it, I suppose. We've got plenty of wildlife here but I've yet to see a polar bear, or any bear as far as that goes.

That's a great photo!! How do we know they are "ghost" riders? Perhaps they are real. LOL... Here's one that's not as mind boggling. My old Cushman Trackster that my brother put the bipolar bear in with photoshop.

Super shot of how to keep cool in summer

Would be nice about now but wouldn't last long. It's 98 outside right now, forecast to hit 101 today. And the field I took this shot from is not harvested yet. Not to mention I sold the Trackster some years back. My wife sees a time coming that we won't be able to live here in our old(er) age so I'm selling all my toys. No more vintage tractors, no more motorcycles.... the end of an era for all.

I wish I had the post processing and compositing skill to produce something like this but I don't and probably never will.

This AI image was created by MidJourney in response to the simple prompt "Ghost riders in the sky". I used Generative Expand in Photoshop beta to selectively enlarge the image. No other processing was done to this image.

That is a neat image. As much as I am trying to stay away from AI I like this one.

Thank you Walter. I have never before posted a "pure" AI picture before and will probably never do so again.

AI allows me to create pictures, not photographs, of places and things that for various reasons no longer exist: The streets of London in the 19th century or never existed, dragons or fairies. It also allows me to visit places I will never will see without using someone else's photograph.

I'm not kidding, the very first thought I had when looking at this was " Ghost Riders In The Sky " It is truly an Amazing image. I have to admit, however, that I'm not entirely comfortable with where all of the AI stuff is going to take art as we know it today, particularly photography.

Yep it appears so. Most AI photographs require some processing but I posted this one to show what AI can and can't do.

Thanks for commenting Tom. As I keep saying with each post AI images are pictures not photographs. I use them as parts of composite pictures. Sometimes my composites are made up of two or more AI pictures. Sometimes they are made up of two or more photographs and often a combination of both.

Love this - you should play more with it, introduce a fog/haze/etc to get more mood out of it - love the strong contrasts though!!!

Let me say this, Jack. You wish you had greater PP skills and I understand that, but what you do have far exceeds what I have or that most folks have. A star for you in my book.

My concern about the AI intrusion into photography is when photos will be presented as being actual and accurate recordings when, in fact, their origins are any thing but that. You are honest and state right up front what you are doing and make it very clear as to what's going on. But this AI intrusion is going to open up possibilities where the dishonest and unscrupulous perpetrators will try and prosper from false presentations...on many fronts.

I don't know where its all heading. But there are certain fields of concern where we will all have to look at an image and question its authenticity.
