On my Comcast email, it won't allow me to send my photos as it says the images are too large. How can I reduce the size so I can email them?
Thanks so much for any help you can provide.
Need more information for a better answer, but assuming you are sending jpgs from post processing software, take a look at your export settings. Reduce the jpg quality number / slider to reduce file size. Comcast / Xfinity claims a maximum file size (size of the complete email, not just the attached files) of 25mb, which is the same as gmail and aol. You need to be a bit careful with aol, however, because if they see it's an image file, they may resize it themselves, so the person who receives the file needs to check the file size.
I really appreciate your help.

On a Mac, photo resizing is built into the Apple Mail client. I normally use that feature, rather than resize a file I've already finished.
If you use Lightroom Classic, the Export tool allows you to resize images in many different ways. That's what I use if I have a lot of files I need to shrink.
Most other photo applications will have some sort of Image Resize command that allows you to specify parameters (pixel dimensions, JPEG compression, JPEG quality, JPEG file size...)
Can I also resize images which I had taken in the past?

Yes, old or new. I only use it for JPEGS so far.
I wonder if the picture is in a format it can't handle if the option to use it is not available. Never tried.
For "custom" resizing, one can specify the height and width, or one or the other dimension only. It keeps the same aspect ratio if only one dimension is specified (leave the other blank). You can also create a copy or resize the original.

Thanks for letting us know about this! I will check this out.

Yeah, email has a frustratingly low attachments size limit of 20-25MB, mostly (depends on email provider). As an alternative, one that allows me to maintain resolution, I upload photos to a cloud site and send a download link. I can send a link to a single photo or a batch, so nobody but me has access to the other stuff on my cloud account. The link recipient doesn't actually log in to my account, but just downloads the content I choose.
I use Mega for this (and free 20GB of cloud storage). You could use any of a number of cloud storage sites, many of which are free up to specified storage size constraints. I'll upload my files (even short video clips, which are almost always too large for email), then I'll get a link. I email the link to the recipient to download the files. Often it's something from my phone, so I use the Mega app to upload files from my phone.
https://mega.nzIf I still want to reduce photo size, I use Photoshop on my desktop or an app called Reduce Photo Size on my Android phone.
