If you missed AzPicLady's post, we lost Bob Malarz in July after a bout with cancer. He was one of the good guys here and a friend.

I loved his fabulous B&W photos and his constructive criticism and kind words. He will be missed!

An old saying in my family- " May his memory be a blessing". He will be remembered for his fine work, friendliness, and helpfulness.

Thanks for this post John. I missed Kathy's post. Bob was really one of the good guys here on UHH and a talented photographer. He will be missed. R.I.P Bob.

Wondered why I hadn't seen any posts from Bob lately. He used to come by the Batteries Plus Bulbs store in Chandler, AZ where I work periodically. He will be missed.

Losing someone we know is hard. I would like to share these.

The light does shine from
dawn to dusk.
Can you smell the flowers, the perfume or the musk?
I'm leaving signs all around today.
It's how you can see what you can't hear me say.
I came to you in a dream last night,
Full of Love and surrounded by light.
I asked your soul to awaken and see
That you will never really lose all of me.
I'm in the breeze, the sun that shines.
The stranger that offers words so kind.
A key, a coin, a feather too.
Continued signs I send to you,
Allow the air to carry all of my love,
Breathe it in,it's sent from above.
Given to you using Heaven's pure light.
Letting you know.....
Don't worry, I'm alright.
Picture me during the happy times.
Smile when I send you the penny or dime.
The roses that bloom and butterflies, too.
All of them are sent from me to you.
My soul has been lifted by heavenly wings.
Do you hear that??
It's the Angels that sing.
I'm home, I'm free, my
soul is on to a next life.
Free from the World's woes and tedious fight.
Embrace my words and know only this,
When we are done here, arrives Heavenly bliss.
And until our hands are joined again,
Know that I'm with you,
My loved ones and my friends.
///////////////////////////////
Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow for .

Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?

I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.

All is well.

Nothing is past; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before only better, infinitely happier and forever we will all be one together with G-D.

I am sure there are many of us who appreciate being made aware of Mr. Malarz's passing. Most of us do not know others on this forum other than by what we learn from their postings. I could look at what he posted and see that he was excellent at his craft and worked at it. From his responses I could see that he was humble and helpful toward others. I never saw one snide remark about someone else's work or their point of view on a topic. I have said previously that it would be interesting to have some of the "old warhorses" from this forum in a comfortable setting just shooting the breeze with each other about photography and life in general and to be able to be a mouse in the corner. In my mind's eye, Bob Malarz was always one of people who be in that group.

Thanks. For what is worth, you're also one of folks in my my imaginary old photographer chat group. However you might want to pack a lunch because I'm not sure how much vegetarian choices there would be where that group might end up. chuckle.
