Nikon Z8 and the Green Dots

No, it's not the name of a new movie. It seems that if you want to reset a Z camera, you now have to do through the Menu, or am I missing something? There are no green dots on the Z6 II or the Z8.

Oh Jerry, it must be tough being the #1 poster in all of UHH land. You really have to find something each day to post about that you could look up for yourself.
So, I am going to help you out this morning, by the way, it took all of two seconds.

Actually, I did look it up, and I was surprised that the green dots are gone. I thought someone might have an opinion on or a reason for Nikon's change. It's not like they would have to add more buttons. Those green dots go way back, and now they're gone. I wonder if that's going to cause people to hesitate doing a reset since they have to go through the Menu system. I demand answers!

If I don't post and reply here, I have to get up and do housework, but this is more fun.

Jerry! I don't know about the green dot. Is it something like the Leica red dot.

Nice informative link. I couldn't find the same default presentation for the Z7. Any links for the 7?

Two other users are going to be very upset that you called Jerry the #1 poster.

Thanks Jerry. You are not missing anything, but your new camera is missing something.

My guess is that many, many UHH members never knew what they are for. In all my years with Nikon cameras I may have used the two button reset 2 or 3 times when I first switched to Nikon.
