My wife and I recently had the privilege of touring Bodie Historic State Park. I put together a 3:45 minute video of our visit. If interested, here is the link.

Beautifully done Lowell. You captured the feeling well. Especially with the "Clint Eastwood" feel in that music. It makes me want to go back for the day and capture some evening light shots, and also capture the cemetary and mortuary. Thanks again.

Bodie is an interesting place. I have been there twice, once on a motorcycle trip. It is a state park but is being kept in a state of "Arrested decay". They are keeping it from getting worse but not making any improvements to the buildings unless absolutely necessary. It has lots of history, much of the information is in the internet.

Good pics. I enjoyed them. My wife and I first visited Bodie 50 or 60 years ago before it was a state park. One old man lived there whose sister had been the newspaper editor. He ran a museum in a lodge hall. Fifty cents to enter. He was a great story teller. Another man ran a lunch stand that served nothing but Campbell's Soup. He claimed he won the lunch stand in a poker game. That was it. No one else in town. The seventeen mile approach road was all gravel. At least part of it was paved the last time I was there. I've taken at least a hundred photos there. First on B&W film. It is so photogenic. Thanks for sharing your excellent photos.
