When you go to old town in Prague. DO NOT miss the pizza parlor that is just left of the edge of the church in shot # 2.

It is just out of the shot but is in one of the smaller buildings. The name escapes me at the moment, but the waiter is a hoot and has no problems with sharing his views on sports or politics.

I still haven't decided which was better, the monologue or the pizza. lol

Prague is great for photography. I can’t wait to go back, hoping early next year. We are looking to do Prague and Budapest. For some good travel advice in Prague look up the honest guy on YouTube., he has some great tips.

Cesky Krumlov is in the south of the Czech Repuplic. It is a world heritage site. Very beautiful setting.

In Prague, there are ancient towers on the opposite sides of the famous Karlov Most ( Charles’ Bridge) that make perfect vantage points. Try climbing to the very top. Otherwise, for me the entire city was one great photo op!

Two beautiful cities. You're getting good advice. I would also strongly recommend Strahov Monastery, which overlooks Prague. Great views, a vineyard, a brewery and the library and chapel interiors are spectacular. Someone mentioned the Sedlic Ossuary, which is the chapel with the interior that is made of bones. It is just outside the town of Kutna Hora, which is also very interesting and scenic, and St. Barbara's Cathedral there is beautiful. It's a nice day trip. Have a great trip!

Do not forget to see the indoor market in Budapest. It is a two story building. It has food to eat and clothing.

All great advice so far! Prague is known as the "city of 100 spires" and that is a very low count as there are spires everywhere! Prague is an incredibly photogenic city with amazing architecture. In Prague be sure to do the Charles Bridge (plus towers at each end), Old Town, Prague Castle (day and night including St Vitus Cathedral), Powder Tower. Winecellass Square, and the National Museum (incredible and beautifully restored building). In Budapest the Fisherman's Bastion has incredible day views of the city and their amazing Parliament Building. Budapest Parliament Building is incredibly illuminated at night as viewed from an evening boat cruise (illumination tour) on the Danube river. Have fun and enjoy!

I have been to both cities and loved my time in each. In Budapest we took a half day trip to a wonderful and photographic town called Szentendre which is about a 30 minute boat ride from Budapest. You can get there by train too.

In both cities consider hiring a local guide to take you to the best spots for early evening and nightime photos. You can find them on the internet or your hotel might have recommendations.

Remember to walk the min bridges in both cities and enjoy the sites from the walkways on the bridge.

Just got the record, Terezin was not simply a WW II prison camp. It was a Holocaust grade concentration camp in which many thousands of innocent people were deliberately and slowly murdered.

Lucian Loc: From Wales, living in Ohio

When in Vienna, which is a beautiful city, you are so close to Budapest that you should try and do a river boat crusie to that city also. Get a 2 for 1 experience.
