Even with normal driving, I'd not get 100K miles out of a clutch, and the breakdown would always be without warning far from home. I see no reason why anyone would buy a passenger car with a manual transmission these days. You have to figure in the added expense of clutch replacement, sometimes over and over, not to mention the inconvenience of getting stuck somewhere.
Try to find a new car with a manual transmission. Almost nonexistent. If you are replacing clutches at 100K there is something wrong. Could be driving conditions, like stop and go driving, technique, like unconsciously “riding” the clutch or material defects, like having a Yugo.
