You've seen those online ads that go on for page after page without mentioning the price of the item. They're ridiculous.
I just looked at a shorter ad for Angelino's K-cup coffee, $035 per cup. Looking at the prices, which took several clicks, I see that's it's actually $0.39 per cup, plus shipping. I kept clicking, but nothing they offered was $0.35. I went through the buying process, and I had to buy three boxes. Apparently, shipping is free on the first order, and I clicked on a 15% discount. Still, the prices are listed as $0.52/cup or $0.65/capsule. I can't understand their math.
Three boxes X $9.36 = $28.08. Their calculator came up with $39.95. That's $0.55/cup, rather than the $0.52/cup they post. And where is the $0.35/cup coffee???
The NEW, new math.........
@Shellback - Yup!........

Similar to buying food at a counter with the menu having no prices. I just walk out.

And they say if you have to know the price you can't afford it.

It's simple bait and switch. I get took most every time I go to the store. If you don't catch them they just 'steal' your money. If you try to turn in the store to the AG, they ask you if you took it up with the store? When I say yes, they ask if they addressed the problem. When I say yes they say "case closed". It's legal theft. Sad but true.
That picture of the math problem -
I can see that she's adding each column separately, but what comes next? That seems to avoid, "Carry the 1."
