I'm thinking of buying an R7. My long lens is the Sigma 60-600 Sport, I'm wondering if anyone on the forum uses this combo, and how well it works. Also, does the eye detection autofocus still work with 3rd party lenses? Thanks.
I have used it with the 150-600 C lens and love the results. The eye detection works with Sigma's 24-70 and 70-200. This function is based upon the body, not the lens. I think very highly of the R7 having come from the 60D and 80D.

I use my R7 with EF lenses and have been very happy with the results. One of the lenses I use is a Sigma 150 - 600 mm lens. I've had no problems with it.....

I have an R7. I don't have the Sigma 60-600, but I do have the Sigma 150-500, as well as about 6 or 7 other lenses, a teleconverter, and extension tubes. What I found was that, with the Canon adapter, all of the devices worked well with the R7, with the exception of the Sigma. What happened with it was that the Canon adapter wouldn't completely click into position on the 150-500 - it was too tight to turn. I ended up buying a Meike adapter and it worked well with the Sigma. Problem solved.
I have the R7 and rented the Sigma 150-600 C earlier this summer. It worked well with the EF to RF adaptor. No issues with focusing and I use eye detection often.
I have the R7 and Sig 60-600 and it works well. The only caveat I run into from time to time is that if the focus is off by a lot you sometimes have to "help" the AF by turning the MF ring some. Once to focus is close enough it has no problem. All of the tracking modes work correctly.
