I like On 1 as a stand alone, But I also use the Photoshop /Lightroom bundle. it is the combination that works for me.

I have looked at Luminar Neo and ON1.
Does anyone had experience with either software?
If you are looking for a standalone editor as subject suggests, I would take a look at RAW Power. It is very reasonable and is built by Gentlemen Coders, many of whom were involved with Apple's excellent Aperture app. There are several tutorials on Youtube.
FYI, I tried ON1 and didn't like it; never tried Luminar NEO. Also, if you search on Youtube, there are several folks who have evaluated editors. Anthony Morganti being one.
I am in the same boat as you and currently evaluating several programs.
I would say that this is a preety damn good indicator of NEO's capabilites. Thank you for sharing.
My thoughts: I have used Adobe Photoshop 3 thru 6,and tried using GIMP and Affinity software - looked at but never used ON1. I liked Affinity but it took too long for me to learn how to use all the features available.
Then, I went to Luminer 3 and 4 and now Luminar Neo - receive occasional Neo updates automatically (no cost).
I like Neo the best because it just keeps getting better.

You said a naughty word (Vista), it was right up there is the ME fiasco.
I wonder if you could load CS6 onto a Win 11 system? The planned obsolescence idea is the other part of technology that really PI**es me off. What is wrong with driving something until it drops?
If CS6 still does what you need it to, then the rest is just an ongoing cost for bells and whistles. I was never the "keeping up with the Jones's" type...
All valid points and I agree. I'll find out someday. One of the main issues right now that is stopping me from buying or changing any computer things is I need to find a place for a third computer. I would still want my current one for certain uses and "back-up" with Ps CS6. But my wife likes her PC and what she does on it there is no reason to update or replace ad long as her Win 10 Pro keeps working and her purchased copy of Office keeps running.
Botg editors (Luminar NEO & On1) are good editors.
In terms of masking, NEO has none. But On1 is miles ahead of NEO. I've found more YouTube videos (by various shooters). Finally, the online On1 support is good.
