A govt that robs Peter to pay feed Paul, will always have the support of Paul.

Sometimes the "wants" exceed the "needs". Many people on welfare can work, but won't. Why? The system punishes them for earning too much. We have fatherless homes. Why? LBJ made the requirement that if the father doesn't live with the mother and children, then the mother can collect child payments from the states. We have created holes that we can't get out of. We have created the "wants" & "needs" of society in the US.

44% of the people who receive public assistance are children under the age of 18 who have no control over their situation.

A valid analogy.

What is truly ironic is the negative responses from the liberal-lefties, who cannot comprehend the comparison.

So are you suggesting that we should tell the animals to get a job? Who's hiring?

Some animals have jobs but they are worse off than they are in the wild.

When I was younger I ran with a poor crowd. Most of them sold their food stamps for half of face value and bought drugs and alcohol. I still know a lot of those people and they still do the same thing. What kills me is the ones with 3 or 4 kids get well over a thousand dollars a month in value on the card. Which by the way doesn't stop fraudulent purchases at all. There are also tons of free groceries and meals but those aren't in Vogue because they can't be traded for anything. I still don't understand why my kid who is in highschool and works at McDonald's is subject to random drug tests and so are the people who work at Walmart but the freebie folks aren't. Yes they stated they tried it and didn't catch anyone. Of course not when you let people know when the test is they are easy to beat. Even the hair test. Perm stripper works wonders. Lol

Solution to that would be to stop rewarding mothers for birthing more children.

At least the animals have somewhere they can forage seasonal crops and they never have to worry about other things such as rent, medical, child care, transportation..... shall I go on?

That’s interesting. You say you know a lot of people who still sell their food stamps for half of face value? What makes that interesting is that there are no longer any paper food stamps to sell. They have been replaced by Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards. The changeover began in the late 1990s and Arizona was the last state to complete the change in 2002. That means it’s been 21 years since the last paper food stamp was issued. One of the reasons the switch to EBT cards was made was to eliminate the fraud you mentioned. So you see it’s quite impossible that you know anybody who is still selling food stamps.
