That's a great set. When WFB was still a base, I used to have the stealth fly over me on its approach sometimes. I haven't seen one in years. It was quite something!

You have to be there to really appreciate the latest stealth fighter jet, but here are some photos from Wednesday 7/26.

The pinnacle of technology, and not for the faint-of-heart pilot.
Great shots! Something I see with both the F-35 and F-22 are wing tip vortices that really help to locate the plane despite the low viz paint....
Excellent captures of a magnificent fighter jet.
Great set of captures of an incredible fighter.
Marvelous aircraft and superb photos of them too.
This may or may not be a beautiful plane but if you have one on your rear end in a dogfight you won't care how pretty it is because you will probably be looking at your own rear end so you can kiss it goodby!!!
The F22 was at the EAA before and we were in awe with the machine, but we were blown away by the young man who was the pilot. He looked like he was 12 years old. I asked to see his ID because I thought it was a joke. He laughed and said this happens all the time. But he flew it and I have a new admiration for 12year olds. (LOL)

Not exactly what I would call a beautiful plane, but I guess it is form and function.
From an experienced aviator, any plane in flight is beautiful. On the ground they all should be hidden from sight! The F-22 is sleek and very clean for aeronautical reasons. Regardless of their appearance, they all fly the same. Some have different purposes than others and those can effect the appearance. In the early days of Boeing's 747 I saw one land in Frankfort, Germany. It had 5 (five) engines hanging from the wings. One of several unique planes I have seen.
