I loved the days of radio plays. You had to use your imagination to picture the characters in your mind. Fibber McGee & Molly, The Shadow, Amos & Andy, Inner Sanctum.... I loved them all.

When I was a kid, I saw Bob Richards pole vault at an indoor track meet in Milwaukee. And I saved his Wheaties box for a while. Bob Richard's just passed away earlier this year at age 97.

My wife has 'em on all the time. A lot of 'em include the old commercials that ran during the show.

In 1956 he was the first man to win two gold medals in the pole vault. He did it was a vault of 14" 11 1/2". Then came fiberglass poles and the pole vault was completely changed.

Right, Steve. Roger Banister and Fosbury also changed events. Time marches on, but it’s different!!
