Interesting new path to collection...

So instead of the same routine of one filter at a time, N.I.N.A has this Looping method to collect images.
Of course, Curious George here wanted to try it out.
So last night collecting on the Trifid Nebula I decided to use the Looping method, instead of the One-At-A-Time method I've always used.
The Looping method takes a single exposure in each filter, and continues to repeat the loop of the chosen filters.
Not sure if I like it, but taking HA7nm, SII, and OIII in a looping sequence seems like it would make the images more consistent than a trove of one, then a trove of the next, and so on.

Sure wish I knew what the heck I'm doing.

I had to reduce this to a jpg to fit in UHH's 20 MB limit. And I use Photoshop 12, which is about worthless, as you can probably tell.

DSS, Abobe Elements 12, and a big scoop of dumb.

Hey Sonny, I use Paint to save from a big tiff file to a PNG file. It seems to do a good job at keeping a lot of the detail. If saving isn’t small enough, Paint also has a resize, so you could reduce the size as well.

Is this just a stack of one of the filters?

Hi Brian.
No, 3 narrowband. Ha7nm, SII, OIII.

It collects them 123, 123, 123, for the total I have them selected for. (20 each).
Not sure i like it yet.
But when stacking, you just run the entire Light file.
I think it might work better for color camera files. But don't know.
My Atik use to stack on the fly so what you saw was what the final would look like. Very little tweaking required.
This was the first time I tried it. So need to play with it more.
Might work good for RGB only. Or maybe LRGBHASIIOIIIDARKSBIAS.
Make a pile, run it through the washer all together.🤯
Ima thinkin I like the traditional way though.

Well well Sonny! Maybe but, I've never tried it that way. I just keep collecting a channel then move on to the next, it could be months or the next year. I guesstimate the amount of data per channel and just keep adding to my pre-existing image. I'm not enjoying myself since the last big cumulitive MS update, still haven't got my old or new guide cams to cooperate with phd or sharpcap . Will focus then won't focus, spent half the day reloading the update that I think put the kabash on things. You just have to love this type of abuse from MS but, the good thing is the main cam , mount and af all work until I swapped the hub with the guidecam and the af wouldn't connect. WOH!, is me right now. We love it when everything is going right and kick the dirt when it's not.

Sometimes I just remove the offending item. Do a restart (to clean the toilet bowl), then do a fresh install.
That usually fixes the culpret.

I hope that does it Sonny, last night I broke another tomato limb with bloom's and just caught it real bad from the Boss. 4 nights of fighting with a guide camera, heat and I'll get it working again {finger crossed}soon.
