A totally magnificent work of art from a gloriously talented craftsman - and your shots are pretty darned great as well 👑👑🥇👑👑
Agree with Joe. A work of art. Allowed to go for a ride?
Beautiful boat nicely shot. Those old mahogany boats define the description of a boat. A hole in the water in which to pour money and time
Beautiful !!!
Just think, all that boat and so little room
You've done an exceptional job with this series on boats. I've enjoyed it a lot.
Beautiful boat and great captures, Kim.

Kim, another beautiful example of the "Glory Days" of these mahogany runabouts! However, I have to agree with Curmudgeon's comment about the costs of their upkeep. While living in the Adirondacks, just down the road from Lake Placid, NY, I had the pleasure of knowing one of the best-known restorers/mainteners of these watercraft as well as a friend who was the caretaker of one of the camps on Lake Placid. This camp had two boathouses that contained a total of 7 classic wooden runabouts and he took us out for a ride in one of the fleet one evening. It was customary to cruise in these boats in the early evening to avoid the harsh sunlight that would harm the beautiful varnished mahogany. Although not as fast as our fiberglass Checkmate, they glide beautifully through the water with well-muffled exhaust.
What a beautiful boat.

Beautifully serene shot, but I love how, when you arrive at a place like this, you can always feel the energy of potential great times in the air 💚💚💙💚💚
It was "born" the same year I was. And it looks better.........
What a beauty!! Your images clearly illustrate that!
