"Longer, Lower, Wider", remember the advertising for these cars, well, this is the epitome of that.

I remember seeing this one when I was a kid, but this is the only one I've ever seen at a car show. Nice mettle-flake paint job on this one, and a "Bubble-Top" too.

Beautiful automobile. Don’t miss those “kneeknockers”.

Nice shots. You can hide an army in the trunk.

I had one, a 1960 all black convertible, super 88 that sat six people comfortably. In 1962 I installed an under the dash AC. Gas was about $.30 a gallon, and I got about 8 miles to the gallon. I kept it until 1966, when my growing family required a station wagon, an Olds 1966 1/2 (!!) Vistacruiser.
After learning to drive on my mother's 1947 Chevy convertible, I drove my father's 1951 Olds 88 sedan
Olds made a great car.

Kim, I have to agree with you, don't see this model and year at shows. They were huge cars as I remember having owned a similar 1960 Pontiac Catalina convertible. The Olds were always just a bit more luxurious than the Pontiac line.
