Lake Isabella is located about 40 miles NE of Bakersfield, CA at the southern end of the Sequoia National Forest. For the past several years, the Corps of Engineers drained Lake Isabella to make repairs and modifications to the dams. After completing the dam repairs, water conduits were closed allowing the lake to begin refilling. With the above normal snowpack last winter, the lake filled much faster than expected. Here's a morning image of the refilled lake.
That sunlight on the side of the mountain makes this a real eye catcher 🌞👀🌞👀🌞
