Compatibility of Godox flashes with Canon R series cameras.

Are the Godox Canon model flash units compatible with Canon R series cameras? I have the Godox MF-R76 ring flash for macro work and the Godox V860IIC standard flash.

I have heard rumors that they are not vully compatible with the Canon R5 and R7 in ETTL mode.

Can UH members share their experiences?

I don’t own cannon products, so I can not comment. My only suggestion is to Google it and see what you find.

I have 3 Godox units with an R5. They work perfectly, although I have an annoying intermittent issue where the ISO will change to Auto. A real problem with flash in dark locations. The auto will try to expose for the ambient and cause major overexposure.

I have EOR R and I use the Godox trigger, 3-AD200's and a V1. I have no problem at all. I just updated to latest firmware.

I have a TT685 and 2 TT660 i use with my R10 and an X2C trigger when using the TT685 on camera in ttl mode I have to use the flashes exposure compensation at -3 stops to prevent over exposure. otherwise they work great.
