Nah, the contrast with the less dense <star> areas left and right would be lost.
Well, like I said 24 is not wide enough on crop ...

For you.
For anybody shooting the MW ..... it's why 14mm is recommended on full frame ... but of course, this is only if you truly want to depict the enormous vastness of the MW - and that is the big attraction/artistry of doing the MW !

If you like the image like it is there is nothing I can add with my comments so ignore me.
An image of the milky way is going to show in general terms a beautiful and well exposed sky but the foreground is going to be dark unless some type of fill-in light is used. To my eyes I can say right away the image is fake because the darkness of the foreground is not there.
Do not misunderstand me, it is very possible to fill-in part of the foreground, like the building and that will still give the viewer a pleasant look but the rest will be perhaps in soft shadows making the image more realistic to the eye. This is just my observation and opinion and as I said, if you like it like it is simply ignore my comments.
In regard to your technique of blending I can say you have done a very good job.
If you like the image like it is there is nothing ... (

Thank you for the advice. Normally I like the image to look as natural as possible so there is a thin line between showing the foreground and make it darker. I will create another version. :)

Looks great as it is.
Literalists, pixel peepers, and perfectionists worry too much about things.
It's
your shot, do you like it?
A beautiful shot! To use the old saying: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

Great shot, and composition.
Having spent much time in Death Valley and being at Rhyolite many times, I can relate personally to this.
This is one of the least light contaminated areas in the US.
I like shooting from Dante's Peak. It's elevation is ~5500' almost directly above Badwater.
A bit of a hairy drive late at night but well worth it.
