My wife and I are going on a bus tour of New England this fall. This is not a photo workshop or photo tour so I don’t expect to be getting up early for dawn shots or having the time to set up my tripod to take the type of shots I would take if this was a photo tour. I am thinking about purchasing the Canon 24-240 Rf lens to use on the tour. I have a good assortment of lens (24 f/1.4, 16-35 f/4, 24-105 f/4, etc) but was thinking that I wouldn’t be able to take several lenses and have the time (or space in a carry on) to switch lenses when the landscape dictates. Therefore I was wondering if any one had any suggestions or had purchased the Canon 24-240 lens and had concerns about using that lens . BTW - I am shooting a Canon R5.
If landscapes or scenery will be your main focus, my suggestion would be to take a look at your previous shots and see where the majority of your focal lengths lie.
When I decided to upgrade my glass, I spent a week or so perusing previous trips and the VAST majority of my landscapes were between 20 and 75 mm. So it made sense to go with a 24-70 f 1.8.
If I'm not mistaken, you already have a 24-105. That would be my go to in your shoes. What else you take will depend on you camera bag and how much weight you are willing to drag around.
Good luck.

Thanks. I'll have to look at my photos and see whioch lens I use the most - probably the 24-105.
My vote, your 16-35 f/4, 24-105 f/4, our recent trip to Maine, almost exclusively shot on my 10-18 with my T8i, should have taken my 17-70 Sigma instead of the 18-55 and 55-250, 55-250 stayed in the bag the whole trip, of course YMMV, Bob.

Best advise; dump the bus, drive, and take all the equipment you want. And stop (and go) where ever you want.

THAT is a most excellent idea. Buses don't always stop for photo ops.
16-35 should be great for the majority and keep it light and simple. On a recent trip to the Swiss Alps Skiing the larger heavy lens stayed in the room only once or twice did I wish for the 18-200.

Look at the bus itineraries see what the bus tour highlights should give you some ideas
I used to do a New England fall trip every year. Have lots of friends in the area.
Although it was a Nikon, I exclusively used my 24-120mm so your lens selection should work fine.
Plan to do again this year and will probably use my recently purchased 28-300.

You also may need a Boston-to-English dictionary to know what certain words mean, such as “tonic,” “wikid pissa,” etc.
When I vacation with the wife...I vacation with the wife...no cameras.

The 24-240mm is a good choice.
Gives the most versatility with little fuss.
I have a 24-105mm and 100-400mm. and am considering the 24-240mm for the versatility.
What if you need some reach and just settled for a max of 105mm, you would be kicking yourself over and over.

If you are careful, you can crop your way to 210mm with the 24-105......OTOH, the 24-240 is a handy lens to have !
