The Lilies are Out Finally

Our lilies finally started blooming and I thought I’d get some images of the new blooms. So many flower images show the whole flower in focus, so I decided to do it with a different perspective and just show the center portion while slightly blurring the petels behind it. I thought it turned out fairly well.

Nice shot. I think you made a wise choice on the DOF. Depending on the lens used it would be hard to get that whole flower in focus without focus stacking.

Thank you. I would have had to take the shot from a lot farther back to get it all in. I just thought that was more interesting. I appreciate your comments.
