Excellent stack job. Ya gotta love the precision machining in those old time pieces.

Amazing tact sharpness and lighting. Have not tried stacking. Curious how much time do you have vested in this image???

Very cool photo. My favorite uncle was a watchmaker. Given that watch in the morning he'd have completely disassembled it, cleaned it, reassembled it and adjusted it to keep almost perfect time, within 1-2 seconds accuracy per day, as there is no such thing as a perfect timekeeping watch. That excellent photo brings back many great memories watching him work. Photos of the face and case?
the watch is very beat up and heavily scratched, pitted etc so. something like 100 hours over 2 months

Great image on its own, no doubt.
What I see in this is a plethora of very interesting possibilities; hope you don't mind the exercise of opinion:
For example, try blowing this up at 100%, and scroll around looking for abstracts, or at the very least geometrical patterns; like interlinked circles and contrasting lines. Thinking outside of the watch box, consider M C Escher'ish applications, with Mobius loops in mind.
I get fascinated with images like this one. Tons of possibilities. Lots of circles and accompanying lines. It may take a few takes to hone in on compositions, but blown up and printed on their own could be really fun. Lots to study.
Keep in mind, We, our planet, the world, the universe are built on frequencies and circles, and the interplay between them.
