When I went up Little Cottonwood Canyon last week I discovered that the wildflower bloom this year will be late. The second photo shows the Albion Basin, where the flowers are supposed to be out. As you can see, late July or early August may be more realistic.
The day I went up was canyon clean up day. They had hundreds of orange vest and trash bags for volunteers. I got to the top by 10:00 am and they had been out of clean up supplies for almost an hour. The roads, hiking trails and some stream sides were covered with orange movement. I left a volunteer in my 5th photo. If you enlarge you can see how large the trash bags were.
Comment and suggestions are welcome.

I commend you for your civic duty Mike. It is a shame that people don't take care of their own waste. Good set of photos.

A beautiful area, Mike, and your photos do it justice. We were always taught to leave nothing but footprints.

Thanks, Barbara, after a very busy ski season, all kinds of things are found.
Excellent, Mike. I hate litter. Unfortunately, the people of my fair state are some of the worst litterers in the country.
