I rather use wifi than over house wiring. Hardwire is good just difficult to run.

The Netgear device I mentioned uses your in-house electrical wiring as the ethernet facility. You don't have to run separate ethernet cabling. If your house has electrical wiring you have an ethernet facility already in place - no new wiring required.

Plug the master Netgear unit into an outlet convenient to your cable modem, plug your cable modem into the device, plug in a satellite Netgear device into any convenient outlet near your computer, plug your computer's ethernet into the satellite unit and, voila!, you have a wired ethernet access to the internet.

I know but I prefer Wifi over that. Hard wire is the best but short of that I rather use wifi. Using the house wiring isn't a good way in my opinion.

Do you own a cat?

I don't own a cat, but I do work as a servant for one.

Dogs aren't much better.

The other day, my dog was in bed with me, and I said, "Let's go downstairs." Usually, he jumps up and waits for me to pick him up, but not this time. He just looked at me. I repeated myself. Nope! He wasn't ready to get out of bed. So, we both got some more sleep.

AI was probably there for a very long time but is misanthropic and waiting for AI to become a thing.

When I came down this morning, my computer was running. I asked my son about it, and said that it turned on just before I came downstairs. Is my computer developing AI?

Don’t think anyone mentioned this yet… motherboard BIOS can be set to wake, or power on, in response to network traffic to the PC. Government, and corporate, PCs are configured to use this for the IT folks to do some of their work. Could one of your other PCs, or other devices, be communicating on your local network? You may have a lonely Kindle wanting to chat… or start a new relationship.

I'm sure there's a whole world of communication going on that I'm not aware of. There was a clever commercial like that years ago. When the owner left the house, all the appliances had a good time.
