A very affordable solution is the Vello Rear Screen Hood. It comes in two parts. The screen cover is a small screen sized glass to be placed on the camera. The second part is the spring loaded hood cover. Since it is magnetic, you can slip it off from time to time.

Use an LCD magnifier viewer. I use a Hoodman collapsible loupe, but they don't make it anymore.

But there are others, such as this one from JJC:

You can attach them to the camera, or just carry them along to use when needed (which is what I do). Mine hangs off a neck strap, but I also have a retractable belt loop for it as well.

This issue was the first thing I noticed was no longer a problem when I switched from the 5D MK IV to the R5. I was shooting yesterday in bright sunlight and was able to see and adjust the image in real time with the viewfinder. That alone confirmed the switch to mirrorless.

I found a shade online somewhere that attaches to the lcd screen & can be opened or closed for my water-proof Fuji xp130 p&s. May
be available for other size lcd screens. “Enhance lcd shade”. Folds flat when not needed. Might ck online. Inexpensive, & sides & top fold out when needed. Works well for me.

Several companies make a folding 'shade' for camera screens. The shades are made to the exact size of the screen, have an adhesive on the top and side edges and work perfectly when the screen is folded it completely covers the screen, when unfolded the shade is above and on the sides. I worked well on my D300, years ago, and I bought it from B&H talking with a salesman on the phone . Local camera store (now closed) didn't sell them.

Look for a Hoodman new or used. Fits in a shirt pocket or wear around your neck on a strap.

I often have this issue when reviewing the captured pict's.
When it's bright /sunny outside, I take a "camo net" with me and, when needed, I wrap it quickly in a way to get caméra's screen + my head in dark shade.
OK, sometimes it is a bit "warm" below the net but it never takes long time till I come to more fresh air.
