This badger was so fun to watch. He started digging a hole in one spot. Then moved to another. Then went back to hole #1. Then went over a little hill and started digging again, #3. This time he spent a lot of time digging that hole before returning to hole #1 and digging more. I finally realized he was making a front door and a back door. He would come up from the hole just below the hill and look at hole #1, then back down, then back up and look at hole #1. Then he would return to hole #1 and dig more. You would see dirt come flying out then his tale and little butt would wiggle out! Then back to hole #3 just below the hill. More digging and his head would come over the rise and he would look at hole #1. I could just see his mind working. Ok, now 3 degrees left and my holes should line up. I half expected to see a little tape measure come out of his back pocket and him measuring between the 2 holes!
It was later in the evening and I did not stay to see if he managed to connect the two! He was a dirty badger with all the digging in the mud!
