This set of birds shows photos from along the north portion of the auto route that circles the main pond at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge. The avocet photos were from my 100 - 400mm lens on my A9 because the birds were too close to use the 600 mm.
The shot of the mother bird and babies caused a traffic jam. The mother would fly to the left if I (and the car behind) tried to pass. It took a long time following her until I could get her brood and her far enough to the right that we could pass.
I have again done my best to identify the birds, but corrections are welcome.

Thanks, Joe. That pair of avocets was very laid back. I stopped my car and got out and they just walked around me and the car. These are their best shots.
